Timeless, iconic and classic, all describe the pea coat, but I prefer to use, reliable. I have had over the last 6 years, and it still beats the snow, rain and wind in the Windy City. But it looks great and works well with anything, like a dress or a sweater and jeans. It is reliable because it keeps warm, makes you feel good and long lasting, perfect for the winter.
The Pea Coat was originally produced for the first time for European sailors in the Navyduring the early 19 century. The U.S. Navy began in the 20 th Century the first problem and continue to do so. In 1980 he changed the color black. The design has not changed much during its history, engraved maintaining the wide lapels, double breasted style, pockets and buttons in a ship's anchor. Made of combed, is very durable, easy to provide warmth and protection from wind and rain. You can flip the collar for added protection.
The weight of the Navy issuedHeavier coats are new designs, but keep them around for a mini-job while you walk. Personally I like the classic style, mine is from 1963, but I did not cut, not life. The traditional pea coat tends to be like the box.
From pea coats to have a different look and a long time, you can always find, in different styles of high-end designers. These tend to cost more, but offer something in a different color or higherQuality of materials or other points of view. They are usually blended with wool and even cashmere. Do not go cheap with a pea coat, but because it was designed to last and not be thrown away like a fickle fashion.
Some things to avoid are styles that are too long, especially if you have a medium level, because you'll be making soon. Go for something that is not longer than mid-thigh. Also, choose darker colors like navy blue, black or gray, because they go with most anything,in the office or on the weekend.
So surely there is no need to wear a sailor's pea coat on another. They have become part of the tradition and American style. Pea coats will never be a fad, so rags found, but a long-term investment for your wardrobe winter holiday. There are always good options available, and is a personal preference, if you want the traditional look or something with a nautical twist. It will only be colder outside, so we have to look good and stayhot. And if you step out there, they wear with pride.
